Dual Registrations (if playing both Minor and Female Programs)

  • Female players are permitted to register in both minor (co-ed) and female programs.

  • Female players are permitted to play in two provincial tournaments (should they be named to a Minor Provincial Team).

  • Conflicts in scheduling between both programs may occur (ie. an IHL game may conflict with a U12 practice, a U12 game may conflict with an IHL practice, etc).  Players would be expected to prioritize game play over practices.

  • The fee structure for players registered for two programs would be:

Novice/IP

$XXX

Atom/Peewee IHL

$XXX

Female U9

Female U12

  • Female program costs are reduced for dual registrations as there are certain fees that do not need to be incurred a second time (ie. Hockey NL insurance, various administrative fees, etc).

Both GMHA and SSMHA will re-open registration immediately for these female programs with the amended fee structures.  Any registrations that have been completed with the previous rates will be adjusted promptly and refunds will be issued to those impacted by these changes.  Registration deadlines for the Female Programs will be extended as a result of these changes.

To ensure that we are well positioned to plan for the upcoming season and deliver a high quality program for participants we kindly ask that you complete the registration process or advise your respective Female Director of your intention to register as soon as possible. We will be closely monitoring registrations in the comings days/weeks to determine if we have the appropriate number of registrations to continue with the implementation of these programs.

Any female players who are uncertain about their participation in either female program will be provided with an opportunity to attend a practice(s) in early October provided they are registered in a minor program.

As indicated previously, we will be accepting applications for coaches, assistant coaches, parent reps/team managers, etc for each of these divisions.  Coaching applications can be submitted through either the GMHA or SSMHA websites and we would welcome any support you are able to offer.

If you have any questions regarding the information above or a specific issue related to your daughters participation please contact your respective Female Director:

Trina Whiffen – GMHA Female Director FemaleDirector@gouldspacers.ca
